From as far back as I can remember, I have always had an affinity for animals. From childhood I have involved myself in as many animal related experiences as I could. I trained our family dogs, community dogs and even had people travel a little to get to me. I used positive reinforcement methods before they even had a name, not because I was studied in behavior, but because it made sense to me.
I have been training for over thirty years. I have studied dog learning, behavior and body language on my own and through studies, seminars, etc. I acquired my Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed certification and my National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors certification as well as being licensed by the American Kennel Club and the Association of Professional
My passion lays in helping people and dogs develop relationships built on trust, understanding and a willingness to work together. I spend the majority of my training days working with damaged relationships. Dogs that have fear, aggression, reactivity or other behavioral issues. I work hard to ease the issues behind the behavior and enable the dog to get through them to emerge a happier, healthier member of the family.
